As the Temperatures Rise, So Does STRUCTURE DevelopmentWith the arrival of summer and rising temperatures, the heat has been intense—and not just outside. Inside the Programming Department, things have also been heating up, with significant progress being made on the new STRUCTURE platform. Milestones are being met, and momentum is building.Last month, Kenny and I met with several Super Users to review recent development updates and engage in an open discussion about their expectations for the new STRUCTURE. It was a productive session, and in some cases, we were pleased to demonstrate that requested features were already available or are slated for release in version 19, expected to launch to BETA users this September.Key focus areas raised during the session included:• Billing workflow enhancements• Subcontract workflow improvements• Customizable dashboards• Advanced reporting capabilities• Expanded API integrationsKenny was especially excited to preview interactive dashboard prototypes and demonstrate our upcoming dynamic reporting functionality. Much like current inquiry drill-downs, future reports will allow users to navigate from summary views directly to detailed data—without needing to exit the report or switch modules. This will streamline workflows significantly. For instance, if you're reviewing a Job Cost report and need more context about a customer, you’ll be able to explore that data instantly and return to your original view with ease.Check out the "What’s New" section in this summer newsletter to see examples of what was shared during the session.Introducing Kai – Your New AI-Powered AssistantWe’re also excited to introduce Kai, our new AI-powered assistant built directly into STRUCTURE. Kai helps you find answers faster, streamlines everyday tasks, and can even extract key data from uploaded documents using OCR technology. It’s like having a STRUCTURE expert right at your fingertips.We’ve dedicated a special section of this newsletter to showcase Kai’s full capabilities—be sure to check it out.Looking Ahead: STRUCTURE’s Web-Based UIThe initial rollout of STRUCTURE’s web-based user interface will provide easier access from any browser while maintaining a familiar layout, minimizing the learning curve. We recognize that no one wants to re-learn an entire system, and we're taking a gradual approach to redesigning screens to ensure a smooth transition for all users.Enhanced Reporting ToolsOver the years, we've leveraged our reporting tool to generate cleaner forms and extract data that’s always been there—but not always easily accessible. We’re continuing this work with the goal of making reports more intuitive. For our more technically inclined users, we encourage you to explore how these reports are built and try creating your own. In the upcoming version, field names and data structures will be more user-friendly, simplifying this process even further.User Group Meeting – Save the DateWe’re finalizing dates for our next User Group meeting, which will take place in late June 2026 at the same location as our last gathering.
